Enhancing local green spaces and supporting biodiversity through community‑led action.
We funded the planting of approximately 4,000 native trees as part of Ballycanew Tidy Towns’ work to improve local green infrastructure, biodiversity and shared public spaces.
Tidy Towns groups play a vital role in protecting and enhancing local environments. This project delivers long‑term environmental value while also creating greener, more welcoming spaces for the wider community to enjoy.
This initiative aligns with SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, supporting access to safe, inclusive and sustainable green and public spaces (Target 11.7).
We were happy to support a locally led project that delivers tangible environmental benefits and strengthens community pride through practical action.
