Energising Young Minds Through STEAM Learning at St. Audoen’s National School

April 30, 2026

Last month, our team had the pleasure of delivering the Energize programme at St. Audoen’s National School, bringing interactive STEAM learning directly into the classroom through a series of engaging, hands-on activities.

The session was designed to make concepts such as light, energy, safety and wellbeing both accessible and enjoyable for students. Through practical demonstrations and collaborative activities, students explored the science of light using mirrors, reflections and periscopes, while also taking part in conversations around energy use and safety in everyday life.

It was inspiring to see the level of curiosity, enthusiasm and participation from the students throughout the programme, with each activity encouraging creativity, problem-solving and teamwork.

A special thank you goes to Carole Ann Clarke, Katie Currid ACA CTA, Ellen McDonald, Carmen López Morales and Bill Senior for volunteering their time and helping create such an engaging and interactive learning experience for the students.

At Power Capital Renewable Energy, we are proud to support initiatives like Junior Achievement Ireland that help widen access to STEAM education in Dublin city-centre schools. Programmes such as Energize play an important role in inspiring young people, encouraging scientific curiosity and helping students explore future opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

By supporting community-led educational initiatives, we continue our commitment to creating positive social impact while contributing towards SDG 4: Quality Education.
