Outdoor education that builds knowledge and understanding of biodiversity, climate and the natural environment.
We provided funding towards a second mobile outdoor classroom for the East Cork Biodiversity Sea and Land Networking Programme. This space will be used to deliver hands‑on learning sessions focused on biodiversity, ecosystems and climate awareness for schools and community groups.
Education is a critical enabler of long‑term climate action. This programme brings learning outdoors, making complex environmental topics accessible, engaging and rooted in local landscapes. The mobile classroom allows the programme to reach more communities and learners across East Cork.
This initiative aligns with SDG 13: Climate Action, supporting education and capacity‑building to help people understand and respond to climate change.
We were proud to support a project that combines education, nature and community engagement, helping to build environmental awareness in a practical and lasting way.
